Now here we are over several years later with the internet becoming an ever important need in our daily lives. The access to the internet went from just computers to tablets, television, and so on with the most convenient being smartphones. In today's world we all can consider that our smartphones are an essential part of our lives. Our smartphones allow us to stay in touch with others through text and call, social media and helps us to keep the track of our location while in new places and identifying where we are. Our smartphones with these mobile apps have become such an important aspect for us just to function in our daily life. These apps that we don't realize we use daily that save us from memorizing important things. Apps such as: Notes, Contacts, Maps, Social media and work related ones. Mobile applications have improved ones’ work productivity, relationships with family and friends, and overall quality of life.
Mobile Apps: Personalized Just How We Like It
Our smartphones are the most useful thing in our daily life and its necessity can come at anytime, at any place. We have made the apps so personal into our lives that we like to be able to personalize them as well. “Personalization is about offering tailored communication to users based on their interests, location, usage behavior and more”. The mobile apps allow us to set up our own preferences and observe the engagements made with the app, it helps make the experience with the app much better since it is set up the way we want it to be. The ease in notifications are a kicker too so that you are able to receive notifications outside of the app as well. These are known as “push” notifications that instantly come to the phone. There are no restrictions on what you can do with a mobile application and they perform actions much quicker than a mobile website.

We can do just about anything on our mobile phones, but what makes these smartphones so useful are the apps installed on them. Many people have multiple apps installed on their phone, myself included, which assist in some way to our daily tasks. The use of smartphones are used for their function of the apps on them. There aren't many differences in the ways individuals utilize these devices throughout the day to make daily functions. The biggest use is for communication. First I want to tell how it can improve work productivity as many companies are incorporating the idea of mobile apps into business, which resulted in a “60% increase in productivity” The apps were easily accessible, with just a few taps or swipes allowing employees to find and share information. Some companies have their own app which allows access to the entire schedule for the month and for the day. Also you can get notifications from the app, messages from the company/office, and view available shifts. It is useful because if you had free time during the day or wanted to get extra hours you can simply open the app and have access to everything at your fingertips.

Mobile apps on phones also improve social lives as well helping everyone to keep in touch with family and friends when schedules get really busy. There are apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or WhatsApp that permits communication with others so we are able to find some time to connect using our smartphone. Although, a smartphone isn’t just for work, talking, texting, snapping pictures and social media but it is an aid in improving overall quality of life. There are also other apps that help to spot money-saving deals, offer help during travel and other daily tasks, while simplifying life. Having an app that saves you if you get locked out your apartment, telling you the ingredients of what’s in a product you purchase, coupons for discounts, keeps a list of your tasks for the day, create a shareable list of favorites (restaurants, sites in a city, movies, etc.) and keep track of when bills are due. Just a few of the many things that apps do that make the overall quality of life simple.Many individuals are comfortable with the use of a smartphone and other electronic gadgets that smartphone applications have made their way into the education system as well. It can be tough at times trying to manage lecture notes, assignments, reading material or other school related tasks. “Apps can help to achieve better performance in organizing, managing, and monitoring classroom activities. Just like the app that we all personally use, Google Drive. It’s easier to share assignments with others and with teachers. “Education apps were the second most popular category in the year 2020 due to covid. This growth suggests that apps will play a major role in reshaping the future of education. We can clearly understand how it improves work productivity, relationships with family and friends, and overall quality of life.
